What if you do not have a referral?
You can self refer yourself to be seen by James. It would however be best if your dentist is involved as they will need to provide you with a permanent restoration. Usually an Endodontist works closely with your dentist to produce the best possible results.
If for whatever reason you do not want your Dentist to be involved with the referral, all your details and visit will be treated in the strictest confidence.
What will happen at your first visit?
At your first appointment James will take a full history of your symptoms before performing a full endodontic examination of the tooth. It is normal to have x-rays taken so that the root canal system can be assessed. Any further testing that may be needed will be fully discussed with you before they are performed.
Once all the information needed has been gathered, James will fully discuss the findings with you and will advise you of the diagnosis. Your endodontic treatment options will also be discussed.
